Giving a decor object is a risk: it has to be liked, find its place and stay out of the cupboard. A concrete object has an advantage here. It stands out without taking much space and it gets used every day.
Here are our design gift ideas, sorted by the person and the room where the piece will live.

The Cloud toilet paper holder, designed by Bertrand Jayr, is our best-seller. This concrete toilet paper holder stores the rolls in a cloud of concrete and turns an often forgotten corner into a piece of decor.
It comes in two sizes, Cloud 545 and Cloud 745, and as a dispenser. A good idea for someone who has just moved in or is redoing their bathroom.

For someone who collects records or magazines, the Doc magazine rack, designed by Bertrand Jayr, holds vinyls and magazines in a block of concrete. It sits on the floor, next to a turntable or a sofa.
Doc is out of stock right now: keep it in mind for when it comes back.

Sliced shelves come in 30, 60, 90 and 120 cm, with an invisible fixing system included. The Sliced 300 holds a plant or an art object. The longer ones take books, frames or spices in the kitchen.
If you give a wall shelf, think about the wall: a concrete shelf needs suitable fixings.

For a bigger gift, a side table or a stool changes the look of a living room without rearranging everything.
The Bridge stool works as an extra seat or a small table.
For this kind of gift, several people can chip in, for a housewarming or a milestone birthday.

The Curb accent table, designed by Bertrand Jayr, sits next to a sofa or an armchair.
The Twist side table, designed by Alexandre Dubreuil, has a perforated metal top that pivots above a raw concrete base. It is out of stock right now, one to watch.

Dice modules are made in France from fibre-reinforced concrete and fit together without screws or tools. You can give one or two modules to start: they work as a bedside table, entryway storage or a small bookcase, and more can be added later.
A good gift for a first home, since the unit can be rebuilt when you change rooms or move.

Look at the room before the style. An object with a clear use (storing paper, holding books, setting down a glass) is more likely to be used than a purely decorative one.
Think about weight and fixing. Objects you set down need nothing. A wall shelf needs a suitable wall and a few minutes to install.
Pair concrete with other materials. With wood, plants or textiles, concrete adds texture without making the room feel cold.
Is a concrete object fragile?
Concrete is strong in everyday use, but a hard knock on an edge can damage it. Keep the original packaging until you give the gift.
How do you care for a concrete gift?
A slightly damp cloth is enough day to day. For stains and protection, see our guide to caring for concrete furniture.
What concrete gift for your partner?
Start with what he does at home. If he listens to records or reads magazines, the Doc magazine rack keeps them next to the turntable or the sofa. If he works from home, a Sliced shelf or a Dice module will get used every day.
What if the gift isn’t right?
In the EU, online purchases come with a right of withdrawal of at least 14 days from delivery, as explained on the European Commission’s Your Europe page on returns. Lyon Béton’s return conditions are set out in our terms of sale.
When should I order for the holidays?
Check the delivery time on each product page and order early in December, especially for furniture shipped by carrier.
